Near-Fatal Air Gun Injury in a Child – Case Report

Introduction: Air guns are widely used for recreation and to protect crops from animals. It is a pneumatic weapon capable of inflicting serious life-threatening injuries. The authors present case child subjected pellet injury the head due discharge an air gun while playing. Case report: A 3 ½ year old male who was 95 cm in height presented with circular perforated laceration 0.4 diameter surrounding abrasion collar on right side face over zygomatic arch, nasal bleeding aspiration blood. Imaging studies revealed diabolo-shaped foreign body resembling left pharyngeal space. removed under image guidance. Investigation that parents farm their monkeys.
